### FAQ

<details>

<summary>Frequently Asked Questions</summary>

* **How do I share my referral link?**

You can simply copy your unique referral link and share it anywhere. Referrals who click it will automatically register using your referral code.

* **Is there a limit to how many people I can refer to PinoAPI?**

There's no cap on the number of referrals you can introduce to PinoAPI. This means there's unlimited potential for the amount of discount you can earn by sharing PinoAPI.

* **How is my discount calculated?**

Your discount is calculated as a fixed percentage of the performance‑fee revenue generated by your referral(s) each month.

* **Can I track my referrals' performance?**

Since your referral’s performance is confidential to their account, you will not receive direct information about it. However, you can infer their performance based on the discount applied to your monthly performance fee.

* **Can I refer users from any country?**

Yes, you can refer users from any country where PinoAPI is available.

* **Can I use my own referral code?**

We allow only one account per unique identity. Using your own referral code to create a duplicate account is prohibited. For bespoke services, please [contact us](https://t.me/+5t8r9jIXW_kwMWE0).

* **How much can I earn?**

All referrers earn a fixed 12.5% share of the revenue generated by their referrals each month. Bespoke arrangements may be available for high-performing referrers.

* **When do I receive my discount?**

All discounts are processed once a month and automatically calculated into your monthly performance fee.

* **What happens if my referral stops using PinoAPI?**

If your referral stops using PinoAPI, you will no longer earn a discount from their activity.

* **What happens if my referral is not making any profits?**

If your referral is not generating any profits, they will not generate any revenue, and you will not earn a discount for that month.

* **What happens if I have no performance fee?**

The referral discount applies only to your performance fee. If you don’t have one, there will be no discount to gain. In other words, if you’re not actively running PinoAPI, you won’t benefit from the referral system—so keep those setups running!

<summary>Examples</summary>

{% hint style="info" %}
**Here are some examples to help illustrate how the performance fee works:**\
\
**Example 1:** \
**-** Sarah receives her Referral Code: **EXAMPLESARAH123**.\
\- On May 10th, John—Sarah's friend—signs up using her Referral Code.\
\- Sarah always pays her **Performance Fee** on the **15th of each month**.\
\- On May 15th, Sarah had a **profitable month**, so she **owes $77** in Performance Fees.\
**Next month:**\
**-** On June 10th, John receives his **Performance Fee**, which is **$100** since he was profitable.\
\- Sarah earns **12.5% of John's revenue** as a discount, which amounts to **$12.50**.\
**On June 15th:**\
**-** Sarah has another profitable month and **owes $200** in Performance Fees.\
\- Thanks to John's referral contribution, she gets a **$12.50 discount**, reducing her fee to **$187.50**.\
\
**Example 2:**\
**-** Billy receives his Referral Code: **EXAMPLEBILLY123**.\
\- On May 5th, Peter—Billy’s referral—signs up using his Referral Code.\
\- Billy always pays his **Performance Fee** on the **15th of each month**.\
**First month:** \
**-** On May 15th, Billy had a **profitable month** and owes **$150** in Performance Fees.\
**Second Month:**\
**-** On June 10th, Peter receives his **Performance Fee**, which is **$2,000** since he was highly profitable.\
\- Billy earns **12.5% of Peter’s revenue**, giving him a **$250 discount** toward his Performance Fee.\
**On June 15th:**\
**-** Billy's Performance Fee is **$150**, but his referral discount is **$250**.\
\- Since the discount **exceeds** his owed Performance Fee, Billy **does not have to pay anything**—his fee is **$0**.\
\- The excess discount does not roll over, but Billy continues to benefit from Peter’s performance as long as Peter remains profitable.\
\
**Example 3:**\
**- Alex** receives his Referral Code: **EXAMPLEALEX123**.\
\- On **June 3rd**, **Jamie**—Alex’s referral—signs up using his code.\
\- Alex always pays his **Performance Fee** on the **20th of each month**.\
**First Month:** \
\- On **June 20th**, Alex's trading month was **not profitable**, so he **owes $0** in Performance Fees.\
**Next Month:**\
**-** On **July 10th**, Jamie receives his **Performance Fee**, which is **$1,500** since he had a profitable month.\
\- Alex earns **12.5% of Jamie’s revenue**, which amounts to **$187.50** as a potential discount.\
**On July 20th:**\
**-** Unfortunately, Alex had another **unprofitable month**, meaning his **Performance Fee remains $0**.\
\- Since there is no Performance Fee to apply the discount to, Alex **does not benefit from Jamie’s success this month**.\
\- The unused discount **does not carry over to future months**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.pinoapi.com/documentation/overview/referral.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
